Wrestling icon Bobby Eaton passes away

It has been announced that wrestling legend, Bobby Eaton, has unexpectedly died, aged 62. His sister, Deborah Eaton, confirmed the news in a heartbreaking social media post.

Bobby Eaton, born Robert Lee Eaton on August 14, 1958, found fame as one half of The Midnight Express team, under the wing of Jim Cornette.

The former star became one of America’s most popular wrestlers during the course of his career with the likes of WCW, Jim Crockett Promotions and Smoky Mountain Wrestling.

Now, fans of the star are mourning his death, more than four decades after he burst onto the scene.

Taking to Facebook, Bobby’s sister Debbie shared that his cause of death is still unknown.

“I never wanted to have to post this ,but my Little Brother Beautiful Bobby Eaton passed away last night,” Lewis posted Thursday morning. “When i find out all the details i will post them. Bobby was the kindest, loving person you would ever meet. I loved him so much and going to miss him.”

Lewis confirmed Eaton was found dead by his daughter, Taryn, who had also lost her mother “a little over a month ago.”

Numerous wrestlers and wrestling promotions shared tributes to Eaton after news of his passing Thursday morning.
