In light of the rapidly changing political and security situation in Afghanistan, the Taliban have moved closer to the Afghan capital, Kabul. According to reports, the US embassy in Kabul has instructed its diplomatic staff to dispose of sensitive material as emergency destruction services.
Helicopters, on the other hand, are seen evacuating staff around the US embassy, while diplomatic vehicles have left the compound.

According to US television, diplomatic staff have been instructed not only to destroy important and sensitive documents, but also to destroy or destroy embassy or agency logos, US flags or items that could be used for propaganda purposes.
