Pre-trial Hearings to Resume for 5 Charged in September 11 Attacks
Cuba: The trial of alleged 9/11 masterminds will resume today.
According to a foreign news agency, the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, and four others accused in the notorious Guantanamo Bay prison will resume from today. However, the hearing could not be resumed due to the corona virus.
The case related to the 9/11 attacks was first heard in 2012 after which there have been several hearings and so far 8 judges have been changed in the case, this time the hearing will start again with a new judge.
Twenty years ago, al-Qaeda operatives hijacked four commercial airliners and crashed them into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. on September 9. ۔ About 3,000 people were killed in the incidents.
