Marina Iqbal resigns as National Women’s Selector

Marina Iqbal has resigned from the post of National Women’s Selector.

The other two members of the National Women’s Selection Committee are Asmavia Iqbal and Urooj Mumtaz.

According to the PCB statement, Marina Iqbal is a former Pakistan cricketer who was made a part of the selection committee in March 2019. Meanwhile, she selected the national women’s cricket teams for the series against South Africa, England and Bangladesh in the ICC Women’s Championship.

She was also part of the selection of teams for the ICC Women’s Twenty20 Cricket World Cup and this year’s tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Marina Iqbal says that it was an honor for her to be a part of the national women’s cricket selection committee. I had the opportunity to learn a lot here.

She said she wanted to devote more time to cricket commentary after becoming part of the ICC Future Leaders, so she decided to step down.

Marina Iqbal said that the women’s team is very talented and she will continue to follow this team sitting in the commentary box.
