Names of 700 Pakistanis came to light in Pandora Papers

Over 700 Pakistanis named in ICIJ’s ‘Pandora Papers’

The names of more than 700 Pakistanis owning offshore companies appeared in Pandora Papers.

The list of Pandora Papers’ offshore companies also includes Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen, Federal Minister Monis Elahi, Senator Faisal Wawda and Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan.

The Pandora Papers list also includes the son of former PML-N finance minister Ishaq Dar, while PPP’s Sharjeel Memon is also part of the list.

The name of the family of Federal Minister for Industry Khusro Bakhtar has also been mentioned in the Pandora Papers.

The list also includes Shoaib Sheikh, son of former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Waqar Masood and owner of an executive company.

The Pandora Papers list also includes the names of some retired military officers, some bankers, some businessmen and some media owners.

After the report, Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin took to Twitter to clarify his position.

Ishaq Dar’s son, Ali Dar, also took to Twitter to explain.
