KABUL: A stockpile of foreign liquor bottles has been found in the house of former Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani.
Not a day goes by on social media when the Taliban do not expose the luxuries and materialism of the former rulers of Afghanistan. Someone’s palace is rich and luxurious, while dollars and gold coins are being recovered from someone’s spacious house.
Earlier, videos of dollars being recovered from Abdul Rasheed Dostum’s palace-like home and Vice President Amrullah Saleh’s house have gone viral, while there have been rumors circulating that Ashraf Ghani fled the country in a suitcase full of dollars. And helicopters.
Even today, a video is going viral on social media in which a few people who look like Taliban are entering a house and going to a room where innumerable and various bottles of liquor are kept.
At the same time, the video recorder is saying that the house belongs to former Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, who has left the country but has left the property behind.
Salahuddin Rabbani is the son of Burhanuddin Rabbani, a former Afghan president and commander who fought against the Soviet Union.
Former Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani has not commented on the video, nor has it been confirmed by independent sources.
