Gabby Petito’s family and police urge Brian Laundrie to come forward

North Port police chief believes Brian Laundrie is withholding critical information

The North Port police chief believes that Brian Laundrie is withholding critical information about Gabby Pepito’s disappearance.

Speaking to Don Lemon on CNN on Thursday evening, chief Todd Garrison confirmed that Mr Laundrie was a person of interest in the case, and pleaded with him and her family to come forward with any information regarding her whereabouts.

“We are conducting a missing person investigation. Two people went on a trip, and one person returned. And that Person is Brian. And we’re looking for Gabby, and he is not willing to provide us any information.”

“I believe Brian has the information. I believe people around Brian may also have the information, and we are pleading to those people to come forward.

“Provide us the information that we need to find Gabby and reunite Gabby with her family because she deserves it and her family deserves it.”

He added that Mr Laundrie was the only person who had been identified as a person of interest in the case.

Meanwhile, Mr Laundrie’s sister has given an interview, saying in a TV interview she wants Ms Petito to be found.

“Obviously me and my family want Gabby to be found safe,” Cassie Laundrie told ABC America.

“She’s like a sister and my children love her, and all I want is for her to come home safe and found and this to be just a big misunderstanding.”
