Folk singer Qurban Niazi dies due to corona

Famous Pakistani folk singer Qurban Niazi has passed away. He was sick for many days due to corona virus. 

Qurban Niazi’s funeral prayers were offered at New Katarian Cemetery, IJP Principal Road and he was buried in a nearby cemetery. 

With his music, Qurban made Pakistan famous all over the world, while he also had the honor of being the first singer of Pakistani Television (PTV). 

The late Tufail was Niazi’s younger brother, while he was the uncle of folk singers Babar Niazi and Javed Niazi.

Qurban Niazi was associated with the art of music for 50 years, he was also proficient in classical music.

The duo of late Qurban Niazi with Tufail Niazi did folk shows all over the world.

Qurban Niazi was also an award winning Naat singer.
