Sports anchor Dr Nauman Niaz, responding to criticism from former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar on a state-run TV channel, said that one side of the story always attracts attention.

An unfortunate incident took place on PTV’s sports show ‘Game on Hai’ after Pakistan’s match against New Zealand on Tuesday night, after which Shoaib Akhtar resigned from PTV.

Now Dr. Nauman, in a tweet, reacted to the issue by saying that why is it necessary to remind that Shoaib is a star and will always be a star.

The sports anchor also said in his tweet that he has made the country famous and this fact cannot be denied.

He also said in his tweet that one side of the story always attracts him. However, after being friends for years, I will always wish him well.

It may be recalled that the match between Pakistan and New Zealand was being discussed in the World Cup show on state TV. The panel included West Indian legend Viv Richards, David Gower, Aqib Javed, Rashid Latif, Umar Gul, Azhar Mahmood and superstar Shoaib Akhtar.

In the presence of all these stars, Shoaib Akhtar praised Harris Rauf for his outstanding performance in the match and praised the Lahore Qalandars and said that it was a product of the young bowler Qalandars’ player development program.

The hosts of the show at first started mentioning Harris saying that Shaheen Afridi came from U-19, but later he adopted a rude manner and asked a superstar like Shoaib Akhtar to leave the show on live TV.
