Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Manchester United after stint with Juventus

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United have reached an agreement. The English club has confirmed the deal with the Portuguese star.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is returning to Manchester United,” the Manchester United statement said.


Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.

Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.

In his first spell for Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games.

Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester.

The statement added that the agreement was tentatively agreed, with the rest subject to visa, medical and personal terms.

Manchester United will pay €15m with €8m in add-ons as fee to Juventus for Cristiano Ronaldo. Gonna be around €20m guaranteed to Juventus as some add-ons are ‘easy’.

News of Ronaldo’s departure from Juventus has been circulating for the past several weeks, reaching its climax today. His contract with Juventus lasted until the summer of next year.

Earlier, the Juventus manager had also confirmed that Ronaldo could no longer play for the club, which is why Ronaldo has been dropped from the Serie A match against Empoli.
