Cardi B Wins Federal Libel Case Against Tasha K

Cardi B Awarded At Least $1 Million in Libel Case Against YouTuber Tasha K

Cardi B’s claim that a blogger made up hurtful lies about her on the internet is resonating with a jury; the judge announced in federal court today that Cardi has won her legal battle.

Rapper won a libel case against Tasha K., who she sued for posting videos alleging, among other things, that the rapper was a prostitute and had contracted STIs.

After a week-plus long trial, Tasha was found liable on three separate claims and Cardi B has been awarded at least one million dollars.

Cardi B reportedly sued Tasha Dixon in 2019, alleging that the blogger defamed her when she refused to take down posts featuring private and confidential information.

Cardi B testified that she was suicidal during this period, and said Tasha’s stories directly contributed to her depression.

It looks like she made an impression on the jurors—she got a big W, and can close the book on this mess for now.

The judge said that a future hearing will determine any punitive damages Tasha might owe Cardi.
