Brian Laundrie’s family attorney cancels press conference after speaking to FBI

The Laundrie family attorney, Steven Bertolino, has canceled his press conference which was originally scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. local time. The lawyer said that they made the decision after speaking with the FBI on Monday night, according to WABC reported Kristin Thomas.

Laundrie, 23, is the boyfriend of Gabby Petito, the missing Florida woman whose body may have been discovered Sunday in Wyoming.

He has been named a person of interest in the case.His family told police that they have not seen him since last Tuesday. 

The autopsy of the remains found in the investigation is set to be completed on Tuesday, which could confirm that the body belonged to Petito.

Bertolino has received more than 30 1-star reviews on Google since revealing himself as Brian Laundrie’s lawyer.

An ex-detective and Petito’s family members have both criticized local police for bungling the investigation into Petito’s initial disappearance and apparent death.

Gabby Petito’s father, Joseph, has also called Brian Laundrie’s parents “complicit” in his daughter’s death for not doing more to force their son to cooperate with police investigators.
