Ashraf Ghani plane did not come to Tajikistan

Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry says President Ashraf Ghani’s plane, which fled Afghanistan, has not arrived in Tajikistan.

A statement from the Tajik Foreign Ministry said Dushanbe had not received any requests for Ashraf Ghani’s case.

The Foreign Ministry added that Ashraf Ghani’s plane did not enter Tajik airspace or land in Tajikistan.

It may be recalled that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani had issued a statement on social media yesterday in which he said that he had left Afghanistan to avoid bloodshed.

Yesterday, the Taliban also took control of the Afghan capital. On Sunday morning, the Taliban entered Kabul and Jalalabad without any resistance.
